"Bateau", meaning "boat" in French, and "omnibus", deriving from Latin meaning "for all," are both words that carry significant linguistic roots. Inspired by the idea of combining various fabrics to craft bags, we chose the name "Omnibus" for our product line. Additionally, aligning with our theme for 2024, "Journey with Obico," we named our bags "Bateau de omnibus," drawing from the shape of a boat to symbolize the voyage our products accompany you on.

Bateau（バトー）は、フランス語で船、omnibus（オムニバス）は、ラテン語で「全ての物の為に」を意味する語です。 それを語源として、英語では「多数のものを含む」「包括的な」「混ぜ合わせの」などの意味があります。数種類の帯地を組み合わせてバッグを製作していることから、商品名に「オムニバス」を採用しました。また2024年は「#旅するobico」をテーマに商品開発をしていることから、バッグの形にちなんで船（仏；bateau）をつけて、Bateau de omnibusと命名しました。
